Working and studying on the way to the top is not the only thing that will give you the path towards success. Another crucial area is participation in events and activities beyond the scope of books and syllabus. It helps in the individual development in all aspects including physical and mental with psychological positivity towards future.
Sports and games are an integral part of any educational institution. Playing as a team encourages healthy completion, cooperation among players and inculcate leadership qualities. The college organizes various intra and inter college competition in all games and sports each year during Khel Utsav. The activities include athletic events like races, Jumps, shot put throws and games such as Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Chess, and Carom etc. Those who excel are given prizes, certificates and mementos.
The college offers excellent and wide-ranging opportunities to its students to participate in recreational, creative, technical and cultural activities. The college celebrates its national level technical cum cultural fest called Tech-bloom each year. It is a three day extravaganza packed with a number of cultural, technical, creative and gaming competitions. It includes events like dance competition, singing competition, battle of bands, fashion show, street play, race against time, Just a minute, Fear Factor, Cyber gaming, On the spot coding, Technical Quiz, workshop on robotics etc.
This function is organized by the students themselves with the advice of faculty members. The participation in such activities helps the students in their overall development, enhances their organizational skills and sharpens their technical acumenship. The students get to know the importance of task division, team building, coordination, and acquire many other managerial skills by organizing such functions. The participants and organizers are honored by giving certificates and mementos.
A truly professional and motivated faculty is the backbone of any great institution. The faculty forms most valuable resource of the technical education system with advances in technology and its adoption by Indian industry occurring at a rapid pace, it has become essential that the technical staff should develop an aptitude for lifelong learning and have an exposure to advances in their field through staff Development programmes.
It will help them:
1. Think of 'out of the Box' Educational & Technical ideas.
2. In increasing self-motivation
3. Enrichment of mind, body & soul
4. Building their confidence and positive thinking
5. Building healthy interpersonal relationships
For this, the faculty is sponsored for undergoing short term and long term faculty development programmes normally during vacations (summer / winter).
